On May 20, 1972 Dexter Harris was born to Winston and Delorise Harris in Gainsville, Florida at Shand's Hospital. Pastor Harris and family moved to Orlando, Florida in 1980. He received his public education in the Orange County Public School System and graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in June of 1990. Pastor Harris attended Florida A&M University and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors with a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Biology in the class of 1994. He heard the call to salvation in June of 1996 and answered his call to preach in 1998. In that same year, Pastor Harris began attending the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta and obtained a Master’s of Divinity in Old Testament with Summa Cum Laude Honors in the class of 2001. He has been pastoring for over 10 years and has served the following churches: Ash Creek CME Church Gordonville, AL; Hall Memorial CME Church Valley, AL; Grey’s Temple CME Church West Palm Beach, FL; St. John CME Church Gadsden, AL; Trinity CME Church Gainesville, GEORGIA and currently serves Allen Temple CME Church in Tallahassee, FL. Pastor Harris has one daughter named Amani who lives in Atlanta, GA and he is married to Mrs. Jocelyn Upson-Harris. Pastor Harris' Ministry Motto is "Taking God's People from Bonds to Freedom"! ![]() |
